‘Numerals’ is a two-part 9 track LP featuring the duo of Don Peretz (drums & cymbals) and Jacob Sacks (piano & Rhodes). Produced by Don Peretz, Numerals was recorded in two sessions - One at Kaleidescope Sound and one at Big Orange Sheep in Brooklyn, New York. The Kaleidoscope session based free composition formats as the framework for electronic manipulation and post-tracking sound design. The second session at Big Orange Sheep was rooted in composed music written specifically for the duo. The result is a spectrum of sound from avant-progressive jazz composition and improvisation, to soundscape electronica.
